I make espresso with this; the monsooning process removes any hint bitterness and the dark roast gives a wonderful aftertaste. As beans it keeps well too; it's so fresh it needs degassing in the supplied bag for a week then I decant into a series of smaller containers. Stored like this it's still been good even after a year and means I can buy in bulk; a kilo gives makes around 70 double espressos so it's good value too. Lost touch after Roaring Stag stopped selling on a certain third party platform (known for it's fees!) but grateful to find them again as I've not found anything I prefer more.

Monsoon Malabar
£7.90 inc. tax
A robust bodied, dark roast with a spicy kick. Earthy notes with nutty chocolate flavours.
India has a long history with coffee dating back to the late 1800’s. Today, most coffee is produced in the hills of South India. The state of Karnataka produces almost three quarters of all Indian Coffee. Over 250,000 producers grow over 5million bags of coffee. The vast majority of coffee farmers in India are small holders.

This is a definite favourite, it goes perfectly with our weekend continental style breakfasts.

Unexpectedly Good
Hugh Leighton
I bought this for a change, thinking I would not like it as much as the Brazilian or Guatemalan I have been buying from Roaring Stag for the last 2 years. I was also a bit concerned that my grinder could clog up as it has done with other darker roasts. After the initial shock to my taste buds (just because it is different), I have come to really like it. I drink it as a cappuccino. I have weakened it slightly from my Guatamalan dose, and it works beautifully. I will buy it again. Dare to be different!
